How to Set Privileges for Sellers in CS-Cart Multi-Vendor Marketplace

In CS-Cart Multi-Vendor marketplace platform https://www.cs-cart.com/multi-vendor-personal-demo.html a marketplace admin can modify the vendor panel by hiding menus, settings, and functions from vendors. The admin can do this by creating user groups for vendors with different privileges. By default, there’s a user group for vendors that is called Vendor. Here, you can create more user groups for vendors with the Vendor type, set privileges and name groups as you like. The user group settings have the Privileges tab which is used to set privileges for vendors. You can enable all the privileges. In this case, the vendor panel will look like this: all the available menus, settings, and functions are shown and the vendor can use them. You are free to limit access to certain menus by unticking the necessary checkboxes on the privileges tab. For example, you can only allow vendors to access orders and the catalog. And here’s how the vendor panel looks now—only the Orders and Products menus are shown. Here’s a case. For example, vendors selling software don’t need shipping options. Hide the Shipping settings from the vendor panel to make it clearer. If you’d like to set different privileges to different vendors, then just create different user groups of the Vendor type with different privileges and assign vendors to these user groups. And on the Settings - Vendors page you can set the default user group for newly registered vendors.
