CS-Cart 2.2.4 is Released
Hello,
Today we bring before you CS-Cart 2.2.4. As a minor release it contains a number of bugfixes and improvements, but not only them! Now all CS-Cart editions are integrated with the beta version of Searchanise – a SaaS project we developed to make the in-store search faster and more informative. More details about it will be announced later whis week. UPD: The service will be announced after the 21st of November.
The Twigmo add-on has been updated too. Now it allows you to enable a mobile front-end in your CS-Cart! Visit the Twigmo official Facebook page for more details.
Also, we added PayLeap to the list of the supported payment systems.
As usual, the full changelog can be found on our website.
Update
You can download the latest CS-Cart release on the File area page in your personal Help Desk account.
The upgrade package will be available for downloading in your CS-Cart admin panel soon. Please pay attention that we limit the download number from our server within the first 48 hours.
You are welcome to submit your suggestions and ideas to the CS-Cart Idea Tracker and report bugs to our bug tracker.
Twigmo mobile version does not work on Windows Phone 7.5. It just brings up the desktop version and says I need to login to see the mobile version. And I do have my WP set to show the mobile version by default.
Hello,
That’s the answer of Twigmo developers from the official Twigmo Facebook page:
“Mobile Front-End figures out whether to apply a mobile skin by ‘User-Agent’ which is sent by your browser. Our add-on checks User-Agent against a list of masks and there is no match for your device. We’d really appreciate it if you could open and send us page text or a sreenshot.”
Thank you, Konstantin. I’m wondering where to report another Twigmo bug that product lists under categories don’t show “load more items” links?
Steven,
Twigmo doesn’t have a separate bugtracker, so just use the regular HelpDesk. And huge thank you for contributing!
Twigmo mobile version works on my Windows Mobile Mango, although a little slow/sluggish with the tools bar at the bottom.
Hi,
Twigmo is a work in progress, I’m sure it’ll be polished soon, thanks for the information!
You can get the news and contact directly with the developers at the Twigmo Facebook page.
One more thing . . . I wish CS-Cart would have stuck to developing these KEY features like mobile and search WITHOUT screwing things up by using 3rd parties that are not reliable and do not provide simple, native integration.
Hi,
Could you please tell exactly what 3rd parties do you have problems with? I am sure we can help.
Twigmo . . . it’s a terrible product. Touch screen functionality (which is what I prefer over “mobile”) is a core and should not be outsourced with results that are less than polished. And all I keep hearing is that it will get better . . . but it doesn’t get any better.
And I thought Searchanise was a 3rd party product as well, but it appears that CS-Cart is developing this technology.
Brandon,
the WP7 version of Twigmo is indeed the least stable and polished for now. See, the development and testing on WP7 has started a bit later than on iOS and Android and it revealed some bugs in the jQueryMobile we used. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Twigmo…epic fail. Uninstalled it within minutes after testing it on my android. Nothing works.

Hello,
I have replied to the post on the forum so I’ll just repost the message here:
There we know, We can not visit twitter.com in China, so, is that mean we can’t use searchanise ? So , Up Upgrade to this version, the website will mean that we have problems? Or users of this upgrade does not make sense for China?
Hi Peky,
Searchanise is not dependant on Twitter in any way, so you can use it from China just like from any other country.
It’s now November 29 and there is still no additional information on Searchanise! Your blog implies that you would post more information a week ago.
Hi,
we had to delay the new post because as you might know Searchanise registration is not avaialable for the customers at the moment. The post will be published as soon as Searchanise itself is re-opened.
You can ask any questions here though, I will be happy to answer.
I don’t know what you mean that Searchanise registration isn’t available, but that shouldn’t prevent you from providing more details as to what this offering will provide to CS-Cart users, how much it costs, etc.
