Multi-Store Edition hits beta

Hello everybody!

Having an online store is nice, isn’t it? Well, having several ones must be even better! But to control several shops one needs a powerful tool. And today we are very proud to present such a tool — CS-Cart Multi-Store Edition. It’s only in beta yet, but it already can do a lot. Let’s give it a glance.

One back-end to rule them all

The main purpose of this edition is to give its owner an opportunity to manage several online stores from one control panel. The stores may or may not be connected to each other. We wanted to give the freedom of the choice to the store administrator, therefore the Multi-Store Edition is enriched with a variety of settings both for every particular storefront involved and for general management.

For example, one can give a totally different set of goods to every store, yet being able to share items between stores without restriction. And even for the shared items one can set different prices and descriptions on every particular storefront. One can also share customers between the storefronts or, on the contrary, separate them or even restrict their access to some storefronts independently from the others.

Appearance of every storefront can be configured separately. This includes design, blocks placement, sitemaps, menus — literally everything. You can also set regions where a particular storefront can be viewed from. The storefronts can be accessed both by different domain names and subdirectories on the same domain. All the domains just have to point to the same server where the CS-Cart instance is installed.

As you see, the whole thing seems to be quiet nice. You can download the software from your file area or on our website and try by yourself.

You can find a more detailed overview in this thread of our forum.

Please, remember that Multi-Store is still in beta and can be yet used solely for testing and as a features preview. We will be most grateful for your feedback, which we are happy to receive at Facebook, Twitter. Also, bug reporting helps a lot, please, use our Bug tracker if you encounter any bugs.

Thanks for being with us!

I downloaded and installed the MS-BETA! Let me tell you guys, I am rather surprised at how well it is working. I am thrilled that CS-Cart is going with Multi-store Capabilities!

The Beta is great, and since I’m familiar with other aspects of the admin, I really only had to learn the new Stores aspect. I also love that you can assign or share products within the stores, or isolate them to a specific store!

Kudos! Keep up the Good work!

    Is there also a multi-store multi-vendor option?

It’s not yet available, but the development will start immediately after we are finished with the “regular” Multi-Store.

Are you going to offer a migration path from the current Multi Vendor Edition to Multi Vendor Multi Store version?

when do you think the multi-store will be ready for full release?

Hi.. Thanks for the multi-store version.

I guess; The main important and valuable things for multi-store users is to have easy ways to import drop-shipping products data feed easy and regulatory… supporting a way for fields mach while importing.
Will the final version will have such things?

Hi! I don’t quite understand what you mean. Anyway, the final release will offer wide choice of import and export options between the managed stores.
Could you please specify your question?

How do payments work? Do all of the stores share the main stores payment configuration or can they have their own?

in Multi-Store Edition payments can be configured independently for each store as well as shared between stores
