The boost is achieved through full-page caching. It speed up page loading in the first and repeated visits up to 25 times.
When the first customer opens a marketplace page, Multi-Vendor stores that page into memory. When the next customers open the same page, Multi-Vendor quickly retrieves it from memory. So, these customers get this page quickly even on their first visit.

As you can see from the testing results, a properly configured Multi-Vendor marketplace with the Performance Booster can handle 980 transactions per second, which means 8,762,400 transactions not from cache and 75,772,800 transactions from cache per 24 hours.
