Twigmo Installation

Installing Twigmo Add-on

Twigmo is available by default starting from version 2.2.1. If you use an older version of CS-Cart, download Twigmo for CS-Cart 2.1.4 and Twigmo for CS-Cart 2.2.x.

The add-on is currently supported in all CS-Cart editions: Professional, Ultimate, Multi-Vendor and Community (for CS-Cart 3.0.2 and earlier).

CS-Cart 2.1.3 and older do not support Twigmo.

Even if you have Twigmo Add-on built-in, you will be able to download the newer versions manually. Notifications of new Twigmo Add-on releases are displayed in the admin back-end.

Download the latest Twigmo version for CS-Cart 3.0.x.

Manual Upgrade

I order to upgrade Twigmo to the latest version you should download the installation package for your CS-Cart version and replace the files in 'addons/twigmo' with the ones extracted from the archive.

Follow these steps to manually upgrade and configure Twigmo add-on:

  1. Log in to the admin panel of your CS-Cart store, go to Administration -> Add-ons. Find the item 'Twigmo' and click on Uninstall next to it. The add-on will be uninstalled
  2. Now it is required to delete all the Twigmo add-on files manually:
    • In CS-Cart v. 2.1.4 or 2.2.x, remove all files from the following directories of your CS-Cart installation:
      • addons/twigmo
      • var/skins_repository/base/admin/addons/twigmo
      • var/skins_repository/base/customer/addons/twigmo
    • In CS-Cart 3.0.x, remove all files from the following directories:
      • addons/twigmo
      • var/skins_repository/basic/admin/addons/twigmo
      • var/skins_repository/basic/customer/addons/twigmo
  3. Download the latest version of the Twigmo add-on:
  4. Unpack the add-on distribution package directly on your server (in the CS-Cart root directory) or unpack it locally and then upload the directories and files to your server by FTP.
    • In CS-Cart v. 2.1.4 or 2.2.x, you must get the following result - the following 3 directories populated with files:
      • addons/twigmo
      • var/skins_repository/base/admin/addons/twigmo
      • var/skins_repository/base/customer/addons/twigmo
    • In CS-Cart 3.0.x, the populated directories must be as follows:
      • addons/twigmo
      • var/skins_repository/basic/admin/addons/twigmo
      • var/skins_repository/basic/customer/addons/twigmo

    Please note that all the add-on directories must have 755 permissions or higher. The files must have 644 permissions or higher.

  5. In the admin panel of your CS-Cart store, go to Administration -> Add-ons. Click on the Install link next to Twigmo:
    Twigmo in Add-on List

    You should see a notification at the top of the page when the add-on is successfully installed;

Now go to the Twigmo settings page and connect it to Twigmo service:

  1. Enter your email, store name and set up a password (or check Use my CS-Cart admin password instead);
  2. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions;
  3. Make sure you filled all mandatory fields and click Connect:
    Twigmo Configuration Dialog
  4. Click Save;

If the connection went properly, you should see a 16-digit Access ID in the configuration dialog:

Twigmo Access ID

After you have installed the add-on you can enable the mobile front-end and connect the mobile admin.

Enabling Mobile Front-End

If you want your customers to see a specially designed mobile storefront when they access your store from mobile devices, you should enable the Twigmo Mobile Front-End.

  1. Go to the administration area, Administration -> Add-ons;
  2. Find Twigmo in the list and click Edit. A configuration dialog will appear;
  3. Switch to the Storefront tab;
  4. Check Use mobile frontend:
    Enable Mobile Front-End
  5. Click Save;

Note: Twigmo Mobile Front-End is not free for the stores that contain more than 1000 products. If the service is not paid, the ordinary "non-mobile" front-end will be used, even if you have enabled the mobile front-end.

Connecting with the Mobile Admin Application

If you have accurately performed all the steps during the add-on installation, your administration area should be ready to accept the mobile admin connection.

  1. Download Twigmo from AppStore for free and install it on your mobile device
  2. Launch the application
  3. Use the email and password you entered during the add-on installation (step 4) to enter the administration panel dashboard:
