Gift Registry

The Gift Registry add-on is one more tool to promote online gift buying. Offering such a feature, you help both those who experience difficulties in choosing presents and those who prefer to receive only desired presents.

CS-Cart Gift Registry service provides all the tools needed for your customer to set up a registry and share it with guests. Customers register their events, create lists of “invitees”, specify the period of the event. Then they create lists of the desired products and send notifications to the invitees. There are two links in these notifications, following which invitees can view all the desired products or unsubscribe.

Registry owners can specify not only the products they want to receive as presents, but also the number of each product. When some item from the list is purchased, the system automatically blocks this item to prevent other invitees from buying it again. So looking through the product list, invitees see which products have already been bought.

A wide array of options allows to meet the requirements of the most exacting customers. Registry owners have the ability to make the event public, i.e. available for all the visitors of the store, or private, available only to certain people. Also registry owners can enable a guestbook where messages (wishes, greetings, etc.) can be posted.

One more important benefit of this add-on is that it helps to create awareness about your store, as gift registry is a process involving a large number of people.
