Gift Registry

The Gift Registry add-on is another useful tool to promote online gift purchasing. Offering such a feature to your customers helps both those who experience difficulty in choosing presents and those who prefer to receive only desired presents.

CS-Cart Gift Registry service provides all the tools that your customer may need to set up a registry and share it with guests. Customers register their events, create lists of “invitees” and specify the period of the event. Then, they create lists of their desired products and send notifications to the invitees. These notifications contain two links, allowing invitees to either view all the desired products or unsubscribe.

Registry owners can specify not only the products they want to receive as presents, but also the number of each product. When an item from the list is purchased, the system automatically blocks this item to prevent other invitees from buying it again. When looking through the product list, invitees see which products have already been purchased.

A wide array of options will meet the requirements of the most exacting customers. Registry owners have the ability to make the event public (i.e. available for all the visitors of the store) or private (available only to certain people). Also, registry owners can enable a guestbook where messages (wishes, greetings, etc.) can be posted.

One more important benefit of this add-on is that it increases awareness of your store, as a gift registry is a process involving a large number of people.
